Primary Med Clinic is committed to continuing to provide you with quality and safe medical care during the pandemic caused by COVID-19. We are still following standards of care and patient privacy in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines but we have made necessary adjustments to our operations to insure patients and staff remain safe and to help stop the spread of the pandemic.
To assist us with this goal, we ask that you please review the following frequently asked questions before calling or coming into our office:
Please read the CDC guidelines before contacting our office to see if you qualify. Guidelines are updated regularly and we can not make exceptions.
Please contact our office to speak with a staff member. For the saftey of other patients and our staff, please DO NOT come to the office without calling first.
If the concern is urgent, please call our office. If the concern is not urgent, please consider waiting until we get past this pandemic. Otherwise, we encourage you to use the patient portal.
The patient portal allows you to request appointments, send a secure message, and review your lab results that have been reviewed and signed off by one of our providers.
If you do not have an account set up, read the help section on how to set up an account and our staff can help with instructions when you come to your visit.
In order to be able to help the most urgent cases while trying to stop the spread of COVID-19, we are temporarily adapted strict protocols. They include, but are not limited to, the following:
Please do not call our office for refills or statuses on refills. Please contact your pharmacy directly. If you have refills available, they will tell you, if not, the pharmacy will contact us and we will either send a refill request or provide instructions on how to get refills.
We are experiencing higher demand for clinic related paperwork. Please refrain from asking us to process any non-urgent paperwork requests at this time. Any request will be dealt with on a case-by-case priority basis, but expect longer waiting time.
You can come to the clinic as a walk-in, but for your safety and others, please wait in your car and call the clinic before coming into the building. You will be screened and given proper instructions.
Please remember the following :
When you call the office, please be patient, if for whatever reason you cannot get through, please don't continueously calling back-to-back. Our receptionists are on the line helping others. Please wait 15 minutes to call again or wait until later time if there is no emergency.
We’d like to express how much we really appreciate you and we will try our best to keep helping you and our community as much as we can during this national crisis. We will resume regular operating procedures when we feel it is safe for you and our staff. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
We now offer telelmedicine visits, call 210-616-1317 for instructions and to schedule your appointment.
